Spanish Moya, who reached the final in 1996, put Friday's gruelling match behind him, and pounced on the Frenchman with a fresher, more agressive play.
Gasquet who had entered the tournament on a wild card, seemed plagued by inaccuracy, winning less than one-third of his second-serve points. Although his serve was just slightly more inaccurate than Moya's, he had five double faults.
Moya's greater accuracy combined with his aggression secured his win in less than one and a half hours in a tournament which traditionally has been very popular with Spanish players.
On Friday, Moya lost a set before defeating Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 in an all-Spanish match.
In the other semifinal Saturday, second-seeded Gilles Simon of France faces Jose Acasuso of Argentina.
