Russia, which has won four of the last five Fed Cup titles, will face the Italians in Castellaneta Marina on April 25-26 in the best-of-five series, the International Tennis Federation said Monday.
The Russians are 4-0 against Italy, but the 2006 Fed Cup champions are 2-0 at home in Castellaneta Marina, located in the Puglia region of southern Italy.
The Czech Republic has already said it will host the United States in the other semifinal series at the indoor Starobrno Rondo Arena.
